Privacy Policy for KB Fit

KB Fit resizes an image to the file size and pixel dimensions you choose. Your images are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded, transmitted or seen by us.

Your images never leave your phone

This is the most important thing in this policy, so it comes first.

• Every part of resizing happens on your own device: reading the image, cropping, scaling and compressing it.
• The app has no server. There is nowhere for your images to be sent.
• We never see, store, receive or process your photos, documents or the files you create with the app.
• The finished image is saved on your device, in the Pictures/KB Fit folder, so it shows up in your gallery. It stays on your device unless you share it. Images made by older versions of the app were saved in Downloads/KB Fit and are still there.

Information we collect

Some information is collected by Google in order to show advertising. That is described in the next section, and it is the only data collection connected with this app.

Advertising

KB Fit is free and is supported by advertising through Google AdMob. To show ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect and use:

• your device's advertising ID, a resettable identifier you control in your Android settings;
• general device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language and coarse location derived from your IP address;
• information about how you interact with ads, used for measurement and fraud prevention.

This data goes to Google, not to us. We do not receive it and we cannot see it. How Google uses it is described in Google's Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google decides how that data is used, so questions about it, and requests to see or delete it, should go to Google. The app gives us no personal data about you, so we have nothing to show, change or delete.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ads on your Android device. Doing so does not stop ads, but it prevents them being tied to your previous activity.

Your choices about advertising

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are shown a consent form before any personalised advertising is used, and you can change your choice from within the app at any time.

If consent is required and cannot be obtained, the app shows no ads at all for that session. It does not fall back to a lesser form of advertising. Everything the app does continues to work with no advertising present.

Permissions the app asks for

• Choosing an image. The app uses the Android system photo picker. It requires no permission and gives the app access only to the single image you select.
• Saving your result. On Android 9 and older, Android requires a storage permission to write your finished file. The app requests it the first time you save, and only then. On Android 10 and newer, no storage permission is needed or requested.
• Internet access. Used only to load advertising. It is never used for your images.

If you decline the storage permission, the app tells you and no file is written. Nothing else is affected.

Children

KB Fit is not directed to children, and the app is not configured for child-directed advertising treatment. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Data retention and deletion

Because we collect no personal data, we hold nothing to retain or delete. Files the app creates are stored on your device and are yours; you can delete them at any time in your gallery or file manager. Uninstalling the app removes the app and its settings, though files you have already saved remain in your storage until you delete them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes (for example if an additional advertising partner is introduced) the updated version is published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
